Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 Logfile of random's system information tool 1.06 (written by random/random) I ran Hijackthis and was given one log as follows: When I Google something, I click on the link and it takes me to an advertising page. It keeps giving me a box that says your last browsing session closed unexpectedly, and I click on go to Home page and am able to use the internet this way. Sometimes they will remove part of the virus but then it comes back when I re-boot. I've tried AVG, Avast, Ad-aware and Kaspersky for help.

I also cannot uninstall Malware Bytes nor access it in any way. I have tried re-naming it, tried using it from a USB stick, tried deleting bad files from the registry, tried running it from safe mode and so far nothing has helped me to run these programs. However, it will not allow me to run Malware Bytes, Spybot nor ComboFix. I have managed to remove that, at first you could only run the computer in safe mode but now some programs are working with multiple clicks. I got a fake Protection System message and it took over from there. I clicked on a link in an e-mail that a friend sent me and got a virus.
